Slough Hockey mourns the untimely end to Raja's life - Raja is remembered as a true gentleman, a genius of a hockey and a great friend for many of us at the club and in the wider hockey world. As a hockey star, Raja captained the Pakistan Junior hockey team and locally he was a prolific goal scorer with a record of over a hundred goals in his 10 years at Slough. We will remember Raja as the chap who always greeted you warmly and with a big smile and whose honesty and friendship will be so sorely missed. Raja leaves behind a widow and three young sons - our thoughts and prayers are with Raja and his family at this sad time. Slough Hockey teams will all hold a minutes applause before games on Saturday as a mark of respect for Raja and for everything he stood for.
