Tomorrow at ClubFest day, Sept 10 you will be able to upcycle any old playing kit.
So donate all your old playing kit, shirts, stinky socks, holey shorts, worn-out shoes, stickbags and those beloved sticks that you don't use but just keep in the cupboard and can't bear to part with!
The equipment will be donated and recycled within our hockey community to remove that barrier to playing the game we all love.
So don't forget to gather all your kit and bring it along tomorrow. Everyone is also welcome to get involved in creating an artistic masterpiece through the upcycling project too. Slough Anti-Litter Society will bring all the creative tools such as fabric paint and scissors to allow your creativity to flow!
Slough Bid (Slough's Business Improvement District - creating a safer, brighter future for Slough Town Centre) are very enthusiastic about working with us. They will organise a upcycling event next year where all the local community groups can showcase their upcycled collections and we hope our masterpiece that is created by you all tomorrow, will also be featured in their display in Queensmere shopping centre next year. A great opportunity to not only help the environment but also highlight the club to the local community.
Any old sticks, shinpads etc will go towards supporting our junior section that are always in need of equipment to encourage children into the game.
So please don't forget to root through your cupboards and bring your old, unwanted kit down.
