Slough Hockey Club is looking for a Club Welfare Officer. This
person will be responsible for managing Club Compliance (for
example managing our Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
process) and to be named the first point of contact at the Club in
Welfare matters (including liaising with England Hockey)

Some duties include:
• Work with others in the club to ensure a positive
child-centred environment
• Reporting concerns regarding children in our junior
section and for maintaining/ improving procedures to
safeguard children at the club
• Assist Slough Hockey to fulfil responsibilities at club
level
• Act as first point of contact for parents, young
people, children, and volunteers for any concerns or
queries
