On a run of 3 victories leading up to this game, Slough 2s turned up with expectations of this being a walk in the park. Even with Suraj Rajput and Fiaz Usmani unable to play, for some reason, an air of complacency had set in and Slough were soon caught out by MK. 2 - 0 down, courtesy of 2 own goals, the second of which came from a short corner which was clearly heading dangerously high and deflected in by the Slough defender trying to get out of the way.

The breakthrough finally came when Shami Rajput delivered an aerial ball between the MK defence for Jas Sira, who picked the ball in mid air at full stretch, controlled it into the D and slotted it past the oncoming MK keeper to get a goal back. Slough then managed to gain some composure back and had MK on the back foot for long periods of the game. MK tried their hand at a few more chances on goal however these were stifled by some execellent defending and interception by Man of the Match Bini Shergill. MK did eventually net a third goal reulsting in Slough being 3 -1 down at the end of the first half. The second half Slough, showed that they could play hockey and pegged back MK for most of it, once again with the right flank involving Bini, Rob Popplewell and Taranjit Singh creating sustained periods of pressure . However, Slough were unable to capitalise on this and having worked hard to create numerous short corners, were unable to break down the MK defence. Slough 2s need to regroup and work hard mentally, to ensure future victories.
