Slough went into their league game against Guildford with some expectation of what was to come having already lost a cup fixture against them 14-0 in shortened format of 20 minutes each way before christmas. Slough took a positive and organised approach and did not allow any negativity to take hold and for the first 10 minutes this worked = a combination of good defending, chasing back, helping each other and great goal keeping kept guildford at bay.

In the end the result was inevitable - Guildford were just too strong, but every Slough player should be proud of there performance. No one gave up and even at the end Slough were battling to keep Guildford out. The back four played well, and although they struggled to clear the ball sometimes due to the Guildford press all played their part. Navidu Vithana made some good tackles on the right along with some speedy forays forward when he got the chance, Sahil Jagpal and James Dixon managed some good tackles and clearences (when they managed to keep it down!) and Nikhil Singh was solid at left back and hassled the midfield when he moved forward. In midfield Arundip Hans played well but he really looked most effective when he partnered Dixon at the back in the second half. The midfield 5 all worked hard, Dan Buckeldee showed great pace and enthusiasm on the right along with Hans, Rohan Bhandal, Ben Harris and Talha Sadiq. Special mention to Rahul Doll who didn't look out of place up front having discarded his goalkeeping kit to play centre forward.
